STATEMENT (on the works)

Hiromi BEPPU has published picture books for children, providing both pictures and narratives. After mastering the skills of creating handmade books, he also started making artbooks with original designs and private publications with limited book numbers. The experience has  inspired him to teach bookmaking through group activities such as the "Fairy Tales" , a group of original bookmaking artists. Presently he is engaged in a broad range of activities that people of all ages can participate in, including book exhibitions, workshops and book readings.

1986

BA at Tama Art University (oil painting)

1991

Begins publication of picturebooks.
